5月17日，北京市教育委员会在其微信公众号发布《北京市教育委员会关于检查校外培训机构发现问题的通报》（京教函[2021]216号）。通报指出，近期，北京市级有关部门组织检查组对该市校外培训机构进行检查，发现部分机构存在违规问题。
其中，知名教育培训机构新东方涉及违规收费、超前超纲培训，学而思涉及违规收费、超时培训被点名。
具体看来，一次性收取或变相收取超过3个月或60课时费用的培训机构有8家，分别为北京市东城区私立新东方学校广渠门教学点；北京市东城区学而思培训学校东四第二教学点；上海英之界教育科技有限公司北京第三分公司；北京市东城区全球学培训学校‘北京市西城区阳光语言培训学校（阜成门校区）；北京市朝阳区森淼培训学校；北京市朝阳区环球雅思培训学校；北京市朝阳区狮王教育培训学校。
擅自恢复线下课程的培训机构有7家，分别为北京市东城区环球教育培训学校；北京市东城区环球教育培训学校东花市教学点；北京市西城区高尚培训学校；北京市朝阳区狮王教育培训学校；北京市朝阳区东方金子塔儿童潜能培训学校；北京二外海外教育培训中心；北京市朝阳区寰宇少年培训学校。
培训结束时间晚于晚八点半的培训机构有3家，分别为北京市东城区学而思培训学校东四第二教学点；北京龙举培训学校有限公司；北京文胜培训学校有限公司。
开展低价营销、贩卖焦虑等不当广告宣传的培训机构的有5家，分别为北京市西城区巨人文化艺术培训学校（白纸坊校区）；北京市朝阳区启德学府出国培训学校；北京市朝阳区学大教育培训学校；北京龙举培训学校有限公司；北京鼎墨培训学校有限公司。
教学内容超出国家相应课程标准的培训机构有3家，分别为北京市海淀区私立新东方学校；北京市朝阳区私立新东方学校；北京市朝阳区寰宇少年培训学校。
针对上述检查中发现的上述问题，北京市教委要求各区要高度重视、督促整改，并将整改情况上报。

本月初，重庆市教委、市市场监管局联合发出文件，对近期发现学而思、新东方等学科类校外培训机构存在的课程设置、教师资质、招生收费、广告宣传等问题进行了通报。此次通报共涉及18家校外培训机构。其中，重庆学而思有关校区的部分课程超标超前培训、对新学员提前超期违规收费、利用学员入读名校进行宣传，涉嫌虚假宣传、虚假广告等违法行为；重庆新东方培训学校北碚校区未公示学科备案信息，未按要求公示班牌，公示栏培训教师信息与教师花名册不一致。还有培训机构存在实际经营地址与登记地址不一致、未签订培训合同示范文本等问题。
《消费者报道》梳理发现，近期教育培训行业正迎来强监管，不断有知名教育培训机构因各种违规违法行为被处罚或通报。
5月7日，北京市市教委印发《北京市教育委员会关于“五一”期间检查校外培训机构发现问题的通报》指出，北京3家校外培训机构存在问题。其中，房山区北京优尚优学教育科技发展有限公司在未取得教育部门办学许可的情形下，违法开展线下一对一教学活动；丰台区上学堂文化培训学校未按要求使用安全设备，办学环境存在安全隐患；丰台区杰睿培训学校合同使用不规范。
5月10日，国家市场监管总局网站发布消息称，因存在虚假宣传和利用虚假价格手段诱骗消费者交易，作业帮、猿辅导两家校外教育培训机构被市场监管部门分别处于250万元顶格罚款。
5月11日，海淀区市场监管局对北京百通世纪科技有限公司、北京易消教育科技有限公司、北京百朗教育发展有限公司、北京天龟教育科技有限公司、北京开课吧科技有限公司、北京盛森天成教育科技有限公司6家投诉数量大、解决率低的职业类教育培训机构进行公开曝光。

广州市教育局提醒家长，要认真鉴别培训机构办学资质，选择证照齐全、办学规范、质量有保障的校外培训机构，机构证照应在办学场所显著位置公示。家长可通过“全国中小学生校外培训机构管理服务平台”查询有资质的校外培训机构名单，或登录广州市教育局官网查询校外培训机构“白名单”。
对于收费方面，广州市教育局提出四个查看事项，请家长知晓并主动监督。
一是查看收费管理。校外培训机构收费项目及标准应在显著位置公示，不得一次性收取或通过拆分合同等形式变相收取时间跨度超过3个月的费用。培训费一般应于临近培训课程开班前收取，不应过早提前收取。对校外培训机构以各种优惠方式诱导跨学期、跨学年、公示标准外收费的，应心生警惕，拒绝缴纳并向相关部门举报。
二是查看教师资质。校外培训机构从事语文、数学、英语等学科类培训的教师应具有相应教师资格。培训机构应将教师姓名、照片、任教班次及教师资格证号在其网站及培训场所显著位置予以公示。
三是查看培训内容。培训内容不得超出相应的国家课程标准，培训班次必须与招生对象所处年级相匹配。严禁组织举办中小学生学科类等级考试、竞赛及进行排名。不得举办、受托举办或变相举办与招生入学挂钩的测试活动。

5月10日，国家市场监管总局网站发布消息称，因存在虚假宣传和利用虚假价格手段诱骗消费者交易，作业帮、猿辅导两家校外教育培训机构被市场监管部门分别处于250万元顶格罚款。
5月11日，海淀区市场监管局对北京百通世纪科技有限公司、北京易消教育科技有限公司、北京百朗教育发展有限公司、北京天龟教育科技有限公司、北京开课吧科技有限公司、北京盛森天成教育科技有限公司6家投诉数量大、解决率低的职业类教育培训机构进行公开曝光。
注意“四查看”“白名单”
5月9日，广州市教育局提醒家长理性看待校外培训，注意“四查看”“白名单”。
广州市教育局提醒家长，要认真鉴别培训机构办学资质，选择证照齐全、办学规范、质量有保障的校外培训机构，机构证照应在办学场所显著位置公示。家长可通过“全国中小学生校外培训机构管理服务平台”查询有资质的校外培训机构名单，或登录广州市教育局官网查询校外培训机构“白名单”。
对于收费方面，广州市教育局提出四个查看事项，请家长知晓并主动监督。
一是查看收费管理。校外培训机构收费项目及标准应在显著位置公示，不得一次性收取或通过拆分合同等形式变相收取时间跨度超过3个月的费用。培训费一般应于临近培训课程开班前收取，不应过早提前收取。对校外培训机构以各种优惠方式诱导跨学期、跨学年、公示标准外收费的，应心生警惕，拒绝缴纳并向相关部门举报。
二是查看教师资质。校外培训机构从事语文、数学、英语等学科类培训的教师应具有相应教师资格。培训机构应将教师姓名、照片、任教班次及教师资格证号在其网站及培训场所显著位置予以公示。
三是查看培训内容。培训内容不得超出相应的国家课程标准，培训班次必须与招生对象所处年级相匹配。严禁组织举办中小学生学科类等级考试、竞赛及进行排名。不得举办、受托举办或变相举办与招生入学挂钩的测试活动。
四是查看培训时间。培训时间不和当地中小学校教学时间相冲突，培训结束时间不晚于20∶30，不得留书面作业，不得向家长和学生做培训效果的保证性承诺。
